Butterfly life cycle
The life cycle of butterflies.
Let's take a closer look at the life cycle of butterflies, including the life stages of a butterfly . The butterfly is completely transformed. To become an adult butterfly , a butterfly goes through four stages: egg, caterpillar, pupa, and adult butterfly . Each stage of a butterfly's life has different characteristics . For example, caterpillars need to eat a lot , chicks are ascetic, non-working, and adults are brightly colored butterflies that search for food and reproduce.
The life cycle of butterflies varies according to the type of butterfly from one gender to another. Some convert it in a month, others in a year. Wow....unique haha!
First step: the eggs
A butterfly begins its life in a spherical shape , yes, it's not your fault, it's the egg. Butterfly eggs are round, very small, they are also oval or cylindrical. Unique is the butterfly egg disc with a striped pattern. The fact is that butterfly eggs are not just one type, but several. Try to guess what the butterfly egg looks like in the picture below.
Butterfly eggs are usually laid on the leaves of plants. Well... if you want to see what a butterfly egg looks like, you can find it in the thick leaves of a tree, right?
The interesting thing about butterfly eggs is that when you get close you will see movement inside the egg. Wow... what a look! ... guessed with embarrassment which shape moves inside the egg? Well, it looks like your guess was right. The common form is a caterpillar or what is called a caterpillar. Well.. Here is the butterfly egg that the mother laid on the guava leaf.. Isn't it beautiful?

Stage 2: Larva
When a butterfly egg hatches, surely you think a butterfly with beautiful wings hatches, right?
There are four stages in a butterfly's life cycle and that's it Second Stage Do you know what a second stage butterfly looks like? Namely, in the form of a caterpillar or what is called a caterpillar. Many call this larval stage the "greedy" stage. Hey how are you? Since the caterpillar's job at this stage is to eat and eat, it never feels full. Why did this happen? Because the larvae are growing, building organs and preparing to enter the ascetic or fasting phase. Hmm...why do butterflies lay eggs on leaves? Yes, it's...to make mommy butterfly feel comfortable because mommy butterfly won't starve when he's gone. Alas... it turns out that the mother butterfly is also responsible. Turns out the mother butterfly knows what her baby likes, so she'll lay her eggs there. Their body gradually adapts to their activities. What is this activity? Yes... That's right, Maka n. Her body grew due to constant feeding. Did you know that the growth and development of the caterpillar's body is not followed by the expansion of its skin (exoskeleton), which is why caterpillars have to change their skin several times during their development? Ah.... It turns out that even caterpillars feel uncomfortable when wearing tight clothes.
Hey.... Look what I look like, okay?

Stage 3: Pupa
The pupal stage is the most beautiful stage of development in a butterfly's life. Once the larva has reached its maximum size and shape , they begin to meditate, detach themselves from the hustle and bustle of the world, and form themselves to protect themselves from the tumult that surrounds them. The larva has now evolved into a pupa known as a pupa.
This stage gives the impression that the larva is resting after eating and drinking all day, even if the larva undergoes drastic changes. Did you know that inside the cocoon, thick, wingless feathers undergo a remarkable transformation? All the organs change to become more perfect and finally the cocoon is ready to emerge in the tail of a beautiful butterfly.
See in the photo below how the larva slowly wraps itself in a cocoon with its saliva.

Stage 4: Adult moth
When the first butterfly emerges from the cocoon, its wings remain weak and flabby because they are still folded inside the cocoon. When the butterfly emerges from the cocoon, it will circulate blood in its wings and will then be able to fly.
Do you know how long it takes a butterfly to flap its wings? Wow... that's a long time, 4-5 hours, to be able to fly alone.Wow... it's interesting that butterflies can now explore their environment, fly to find food and of course find a mate. Mature butterflies are always on the lookout for other butterflies to mate with, and when the female lays her eggs on certain leaves, the butterfly's life cycle repeats above.
