Kini Lion Air Menggunakan Perangkat Navigasi RNP

Is it an RNP navigation device? RNP requires a sabridan for navigation performance. It is a device that works on the basis of GPS (Global Positioning System) information. By using this device, the aircraft no longer has to make a very tight approach, as would normally be done if the aircraft were only using the ILS (Instrument Landing System) device. This RNP device also has all-weather capability. Therefore, collateral damage during approach can mean as little as during flight.

Lion Air's Boeing 737-900ER fleet will use RNP service. Lion Air will be the first RNP user in Indonesia to operate both airports. The two airports are Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado and Pattimura Airport in Ambon. The choice of two airports can increase the level of difficulty more than usual. The weather changes quickly, lots of hills around the airport and fairly frequent flights. The management of RNP navigation parameters, which costs around three lakh rupees per unit, is Lion Air's attempt to optimize the variability of the Pesetan. For the handler, Lion Air hired Boeing as a technical advisor and scaled back Lion Air's crew breeding to operate it.
